First Presbyterian/TeamMates Fundraiser

Four years ago, the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue was generous enough to offer to host their annual spaghetti dinner and donate all proceeds to the TeamMates Mentoring Program of Bellevue. Don Fenster, Bellevue TeamMates board president and his wife, Wendy Fenster, were the key individuals promoting this partnership.  In 2013, $9100 was generated in what was the first major fundraising effort for Bellevue TeamMates. In 2016, Bellevue TeamMates offered to split the proceeds, and $4,800 was donated to the program. Proceeds from the fundraiser are used to support the summer camp, scholarships and mentor training.

The 2017 First Presbyterian Church/Bellevue TeamMates Spaghetti dinner was held Saturday, March 11, and the featured guest was Johnny Rodgers, former Husker football player and Heisman Trophy recipient in 1972.   At the event the Bellevue Teammates Mentors of the Year, Willis and Fran Regier were honored. Also honored as the Friends of TeamMates was the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue Fellowship Committee.

We are grateful for this partnership and look forward to continued collaboration which will benefit the students of the Bellevue Community.

School Calendar

back to schoolYou may recall, the goal is for each mentee and mentor to meet 24 times during the school year, so as we approach the end of the first semester of school, you should be close to the halfway point. If you and your mentee have attended any of the planned group activities together, those also serve as a meeting.
