Summerfest 2014

July 20, 2014

The Holt County Hometown Leadership Institute (HLI) #10 joined forces with TeamMates to promote one-to-one mentoring at the local O’Neill Summerfest celebration. HLI built a large ball pit for the, Take a Seat, Make a Friend activity. Summerfest attendees, ages Jr. High through adults were encouraged to enter the ball pit with one other person they didn’t know, to take a seat and make a friend! Intriguing questions were provided on the large balls in the ball pit to spark the conversation to get to know one another. This new event was not only a lot of fun, but helped people realize that it can be pretty easy to get to know someone new, much like the beginning of a mentoring relationship.

Informational brochures about how to get involved with TeamMates were handed out by the Holt County TeamMates Coordinator and Board Members.
